Lewisville Is Where We Coat the Most Floors
Epoxy flooring in Lewisville covers more ground than most people expect. This is a city of 111,822 people (2020 census) with about 46,656 housing units, a long stretch of I-35E lined with dealerships, and food distribution branches such as Sysco and Meadowbrook Meat Company. We are based here, so a Lewisville floor is usually one we can look at the same week you call. Most jobs are garages. The rest are shop slabs, sales floors and warehouse space.
One city, several kinds of slab
Lewisville is a patchwork. Point2Homes' summary of Census survey data shows that only about 46% of housing units are detached single-family homes, and about 53.7% of occupied homes are rented. That gives us three common floor jobs in the city:
- Owner garages in the subdivisions off FM 407, FM 1171 and SH 121, where the slab is often 25 to 35 years old
- Rental and townhome garages, where an owner wants a floor that cleans up fast between tenants
- Business floors in dealerships, service bays, distribution space and small shops
Each one gets a different conversation about systems and budget. A landlord may want a durable solid-color epoxy that hides wear. A homeowner who parks a boat may want a full flake broadcast with extra thickness under the trailer jack.
Castle Hills joined the city in 2021
Castle Hills was developed by Bright Realty starting in the mid-1990s. Until 12:01 a.m. on November 15, 2021, it was run by eight Denton County fresh water supply districts plus homeowners associations and a master association. The annexation added almost 3,000 acres and about 18,000 residents to Lewisville. For floor work, that history matters in two ways. The oldest Castle Hills garages are now close to 30 years old. And HOA rules still apply in many sections, so we keep trailers, grinders and dust collection tidy and off shared areas. Interior garage coating is your floor, but if your association asks about contractor parking or work hours, we will work around those rules.
Older floors near Old Town
Lewisville started as Holford's Prairie in the early 1840s, and the railroad arrived in 1881. The city voted to incorporate on January 15, 1925, by a margin of 17 votes. Most homes came after the Garza-Little Elm Dam was finished in 1954, but the blocks around Old Town and the Grand theater on the east side of I-35E include older houses and detached garages. Those slabs can be thinner, patched, or poured without the control joints a newer garage has. We check for hollow-sounding patches and old paint before we recommend any system, and some of these floors need Concrete Crack Repair before they are coated at all.
Creek water and storm season
Wikipedia notes that Timber Creek can overflow during heavy rain and, on rare occasions, flood nearby homes. Lewisville is also considered part of Tornado Alley, and Hurricane Carla in 1961 pushed 86 mph winds and 6-foot swells across Lewisville Lake. A coated garage floor cannot stop water. What it does is make cleanup simpler after muddy water or wind-driven rain gets under the door, because silt and debris sit on a sealed surface instead of soaking into bare concrete. If your garage has taken water before, tell us. We test moisture closely on those slabs and look at where the floor drains.
Lake gear in Lewisville garages
Water covers about 14% of the city, and the city leases 662 acres of Lewisville Lake Park from the Army Corps of Engineers. Plenty of our Lewisville garages hold a boat or jet ski as well as cars. We add build where a trailer jack rests and use a topcoat that resists fuel, so a drip from an outboard wipes up instead of staining.
Business floors along I-35E
Wikipedia lists automobile dealerships, boat sales and food distribution among Lewisville's industries, and the city's largest employers include JPMorgan Chase, Lewisville ISD and Nationstar Mortgage. The floors we see from local businesses tend to fall into a few groups:
- Service bays that need resistance to brake fluid, coolant and hot tires
- Dealership and retail floors where a Metallic Epoxy or clean solid color looks good under bright lights
- Cooler and distribution space where forklifts and pallet jacks wear a path in the concrete
- Small shops and flex units that want a sealed floor they can mop
On Commercial Floor Epoxy jobs we plan around your hours, coat in sections when needed and list the return-to-service time in the quote.
Picking a coating for a Lewisville garage
For most owner garages we start with Garage Floor Epoxy or a full Epoxy Flake system. If you need the garage back fast, or the door stays open and the floor sees afternoon sun, a Polyaspartic topcoat is worth pricing. We will show you samples at the estimate and write down the system, every coat and the total. Call (972) 645-4494 to set a time.

Lewisville Questions
Do you need HOA approval to coat a garage floor in Castle Hills?
Coating the inside of your garage is interior work, so it usually does not need architectural approval. Some associations have rules on contractor parking, work hours or dumpsters. Check your HOA rules and tell us about them. We will schedule and park to fit.
I own a Lewisville rental. Which coating makes sense?
Most landlords want a floor that cleans fast and hides wear between tenants. A ground slab with an epoxy base, a flake broadcast and a clear topcoat does that well. We can quote a solid color option too and show you the price difference in writing.
Can you coat a dealership service bay without closing the whole shop?
Often, yes. We can coat a bay or a section at a time and plan around your hours. The quote lists each phase and when each area can take traffic again.
